Christmas in Italy-english
In Italy there is a deeply religious and cultural celebration. It is focused on the family, the food and catholic traditions.
The Christmas season starts on December 8th, with the party of the immaculate conception, and it's extended until 6th of January. Italians used to tidy detained managers called presepi. It's a very important tradition, especially in Naple, famous for its handcraft figures. They go to the mass of the roaster on the night of the 24th of December.
The 6th of January, a good which is called La Befana, she gives presents to the kids, similar to the magic kings in other countries. They're typical food is the “ panettone”, that is a sweat bread that is stuffed with confiscated fruits and raisins, also the “tortellini en caldo” that is a hot soup with stuffed pasty, and the “pesce di vigilia” in 24th of December, many families try not to eat meat and enjoy fish meals. In some regions, like sirilia, traditions of the “zampognari” realices, pastures that touch “gaita” in malls. Many families decorate a Christmas tree, but the manager still veins the decoration center.
In conclusion, I would really like to visit Italy and try all the dishes but also know the traditions or if they had something special.
